My topiary garden is history. All the box plants were infested throughout with caterpillar as well as fungus. Everything has gone to the incinerator. But I have new plans in mind.

The works are in full swing behind the Louwina. Pedestrians (with "Early" breakfast baguettes on the first picture), as well as the cows are granted passage. (Early Beck is our famous bakery in Gstaad.)

From April 19th till June 18th the Hornbeergstrasse will be completely restored, which means the road will be closed to any traffic at daytime. So the Louwina will also remain closed during this whole construction period.

The hellebores (helleborus niger) shine out of a sheltered corner in the garden. The soil is not frozen and there is no snow, which is very unusual for this time of the year.
